• The exam takes place in 3 stages:
  1. 1. Preliminary Exam
  2. 2. Mains Exam

• It depends from State to State. Most States have no negative marking system.
• Can a practicing lawyer appear in the Judicial Service Examination?
• Yes but JATF provide the facility for full time serious aspriants.

• It is different for different States. However, in general, the minimum age limit is 21 years and the upper age limit is 35 years. Below is the State wise list for age limit:

• There are certain common subjects that come in almost all the States. They are:

  Apart from these subjects, all States have some local/additional subjects. Some States also have General Knowledge and Current Affairs as a subject.

• In UP, there are 4 attempts. And in all other states, one can give exam till he/she reaches the maximum age limit provided by the respective State.
